Party, Party, Party...

This month Lolita made another year old and this time we decided to celebrate at our house (for which we call Chez Nous). It was an extremely successful party and we had so much fun planning for it. There was a photo booth and a bar...and pretty much, that's all a few 20 somethings need for a good time.

We purchased some mason jars to use as cups, and accessorized our shutters with this DIY lighting, and purchased some thrifted frames to have the sign from.

Add ice and drinks to a table to make an easy bar

spruce up your old Christmas lights by tying little strips of tule around each bulb

For the photobooth, we bought a "happy birthday sign", more christmas lights, and hung them from
a dark window curtain. We set a macbook on a desk and it became a DIY photobooth for guest.

Don't forget to make your own cake!!

Yung Rapunxel Review

In my last post I asked for the newly released, MAC lipstick Yung Rapunxel and I got it. Now I did get it about a month back, so I'm late. Without going into long details, I didn't like it when I initially put it on...but it has grown on me. Without further or due...

The lipstick is from rapper Azalea Banks, and she is pictured about wearing the lipstick in one of her videos. 

The color is awesome, but it doesn't cover well. Before applying, I washed out my lip color with concealer to give it a matte surface. 

Will I wear it again?

 Of course! It's a great deep color for the fall and I absolutely love the color purple.

The finish is "amplified", so there's really no need for a gloss on top.
